Genius.......

Practice patience in your life when working with genius, and be tolerant of the whimsy of genius in others.

I love FALL!!

Fall is my very favorite time and year! Sunny warm days and cooler nights..... then a foot and a half of snow....more sunny days....
I LOVE IT!!

I love the thought of flying off for vacation and dreaming of peace and quiet surrounded by beauty........but I have to pack and get ready first. whew.......
I can't wait to get there, so much to do and now it seems so little time. I have truly had about four months and I always wait until the last few days to pack up everybody and get ready. I think I'll go work out now :) (anything to put off the inevitable) . Football will be on and I am a huge football fan so it will be tough to focus.....unless... I can do both :)
till next time....

Wow---I made it through the knee surgery and got to see the halftime show at the first football game. I'm getting a bit stronger everday- YEA!!
My sister and two of my neices are coming for tonights football game (my sister was also a cheerleader in high school). It will be fun.
I found these to share:
Let your love be stronger than your hate or anger. Learn the wisdom of compromise, for it is better to bend a little than to break. Believe the best rather than the worst; people have a way of living up or down to your opinion of them. Remember that true friendship is the basis for any lasting relationship. The person you choose to marry is deserving of the courtesies and kindness you bestow on your friends.

Oh wow!! We have eaten so many yummy things from our garden. My son planted tomatos and has taken full charge of them all summer and I must say they are quite delicious (he's 4 yrs old)! We have also shared quite a bit of the fruits of our labor with friends and neighbors.
I just found out I have to get the screws taken out of my knee, they were put there 19 years ago when I was skiing up at Beaver Creek during the big ski races (I wasn't racing... I'm not even sure why I was skiing) It was St Patricks day and my luck of the Irish sent me 3/4 of the way down the mountain on a sled. I must say though that I have never noticed such huge bird nests in the trees :)
Well anyway, hopefully I won't be off my knee for long. My daughter is cheering for the first football game at the highschool this Friday night and I want to be there!

REALLY????

My Husband and my kids and I are going to a blog about all the "REALLY"'s that occur in the world today. Sometimes I'm not sure if people are unaware or just plain lazy???? You tell me.Here's an example:i meant to write this last weekend, just haven't had the time. Isaiah and I rode our scooters over to one of the local elementary school playgrounds. it's a block away so Isaiah practically grew up on the gyms there. I usually have my phone with us, in the case a picturesque moment occurs or Mom needs us.
anyways, as we approached the playground, it was hard to not to notice the occasional piece of trash laying around. the more we saw, the more annoyed I got, which prompted me to snap these pix. when I came across the coke can, all that was going through my head was, "really. really!!" it looked as though the can had been purposely cracked open and placed just so a child could trip, slice an arm or something, and make the obligatory visit to the local hospital.
I mean, how damn hard could it be, to walk, at most, ten feet to the trash can after slurping down your sugar syrup! whoever it was that would rip the can open and indiscriminately toss it on a children's playground is a jerk, in my book.
so, I wanted to share this idea with my friends. if you are somewhere public, and you see a piece of trash where it shouldn't be, if it's not too much effort, please PICK IT UP.
I know, it's not yours, you didn't leave it there, but you know what? you'll make the world a better place for everyone. it's not that hard.
even Isaiah did it. and I helped him. before we left the playground, we scanned the yard and made certain that the place was nice for the next visitors. if you already naturally do this, thank you. PASS IT ON.

Time Flies...

Time sure flies when you are busy! Over the last couple of years I have taken care of my ailing Mom, helped my youngest grow up, and have been honing my gardening skills.
